2020 SPRING Indoor 1: First-time Class for JUNIORS 8-20 years old + Parents optional (but required for 8-year-olds)
March 18 - We have cancelled all Indoor 1: First-time Classes until further notice.
As of March 16, we are cancelling the Indoor 1: First-time Classes until April 4 as we cannot guarantee the social spacing recommended to effectively reduce the spread of the corona virus. We will revisit this decision periodically, and if things change, will revise the cancellations. If you have already registered for a class between March 16-April 3, we will credit your fee towards a future class, or you can, of course, ask us for a refund. Please stay healthy out there!

WHEN ARE THE INDOOR 1: FIRST-TIME CLASSES?
The available class dates and times are listed in the enrollment form below under "What day would you like to the register for?" Classes may be scheduled at other times in advance or additional classes may be added at other times based on demand. INDOOR 1 classes will usually only take place if there are at least 4 archers registered. (Our Indoor 1: First-time Classes fill very quickly.)
HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M REGISTERED?
A few hours after you fill out the registration form for INDOOR 1 below, you can click the date/time at
to see if your name appears under "Registered Archers". (We have to do this manually.) We usually do not hold the Indoor 1: First-time Class if there are fewer than 4 people registered, so we will notify you in advance of your class, if the class is cancelled, and we'll remove it from the calendar.
WHAT DO I DO IF MY NAME IS ON THE WAITING LIST?
To see if your name is on the waiting list, click the appropriate Indoor 1 class at
If your name appears under "Waiting List" on the class date and time on the website's Calendar, you have the choice of coming to see if there is a last-minute cancellation/no show or rescheduling your enrollment for another date/time.
DO YOU PROVIDE EQUIPMENT?
Yes, we provide all equipment necessary indefinitely at no extra charge. (Recurve bow, 3 arrows, armguard, finger tab, target)
When you are ready to order your own equipment, we pace and specify what you need and help you order it, so you buy the correct equipment for your strength and experience. Generally, we do not recommend anyone buys equipment before they have been with us for at least 8 hours.

Groups of friends or family with 4-10 people: $26 per archer, payable in advance at
If you would like to rent a time just for your group, the minimum charge is $260 on Sat/Sun or $250 on weekdays.

If we cancel the class because of illness, weather, or if the class failed to meet the minimum registration requirement of 4 people, we will refund or credit your fee (your choice).
AGES for JUNIORS: 8 - 18 years old. (After 18 years old, most Juniors register for the Adult classes.)
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ENROLL?
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR 8-YEAR OLDS
The minimum age we coach is 8 years old.
----> A parent/adult needs to take the Indoor 1: First-time class with their 8-year-old, so an adult will be on the shooting line next to the child to supervise and support/encourage them, and for increased safety. Also, to ensure everyone receives approximately equal instruction, we restrict the number of eight-year-old archers to one 8-year-old per Indoor 1 class.
CAN PARENTS SHOOT WITH THEIR KIDS in future classes?
YES, as long as the parent has also taken the INDOOR 1: First-time Class. (It's a great sport to do together!)
HOW MANY ARCHERS ARE IN THE INDOOR 1: FIRST-TIME CLASS?
We take a maximum of 10 archers in each class.
HOW DO I GET INTO THE NEXT CLASSES (INDOOR 2)?
JUNIOR ARCHERS: Most graduate into INDOOR 2 for Juniors upon completing INDOOR 1 the first day.
Entry requirements for Juniors to the INDOOR 2 classes:
Score 50 pts. in one 30-arrow round on a 60-cm or 40-cm FITA target face, AND
show sufficient maturity, focus and self-awareness/control (emotionally/physically) to be safe in the group classes.
----> Some 8 or even 9-year-olds may find this class very challenging, and may need additional first-time lessons or a private lesson to meet the above requirements.
PARENT ARCHERS: Automatically graduate into INDOOR 2 for Adults, as long as you observe the safety rules. There is no minimum score requirement for adults.
HOW DO I ENROLL FOR THE INDOOR 2 GROUP CLASSES?
When you come to Indoor 2, you´ll shoot the entire time - usually about 30-45 arrows, while being coached individually in a group of a max. of 10 archers.
After you have taken the INDOOR 1: First-time Class for JUNIORS/PARENTS, register in INDOOR 2 at the link on our website under Classes/Recreational for 2019 FALL: INDOOR 2/3
You'll be able to enroll for as many or as few classes as you like whenever you want to come.
PLACES IN ALL FUTURE CLASSES ARE RESERVED ON A FIRST-ENROLLED AND PAID BASIS.
If you have at least one year of experience in archery, instead of registering for an INDOOR 1: First-time Class,
contact us at
to schedule a Placement Evaluation. (Fee: $50)
Please drop in during business hours to visit, when we'll be happy to talk with you BETWEEN classes.
You'll need to be registered in a class in order to use the range.
FRIDAYS: 6:00pm-8:00pm Open Practice for those on periodization or at 13.5m/18m or with Coach Racae´s okay.
PLEASE COMPLETE ALL THE FIELDS BELOW.
Your information will only be shared with our coaching staff on a need-to-know basis.
Which day do you want to register for?
March 18 - We have cancelled all Indoor 1: First-time Classes until further notice. As of March 16, we are cancelling the Indoor 1: First-time Classes until April 4, as we cannot guarantee the social spacing recommended to effectively reduce the spread of the corona virus. We will revisit this decision periodically, and if things change, will revise the cancellations. If you have already registered for a class between March 16-April 14, we will credit your fee towards a future class, or you can, of course, ask us for a refund. Please stay healthy out there! Previous information: You can register on any available date, as long as there is space left in that class. You can see if you're registered and how many people are in the class by clicking the date and time of the class at
. If there are fewer than 4 people registered, we will notify you before your class if the class has been cancelled, and we'll take it off the calendar. WHEN DATES ARE NOT SHOWN BELOW, IT´S BECAUSE THAT CLASS HAS ALREADY FILLED If you're registered, your name will be listed at
usually within 24 hours of your registering. (It's not automatic.) If you change your registration date/time, please also email us at
telling us of the change. Classes are posted about a week in advance, and are usually on Sat and Sun 11:30am-2:00pm, so if you don't see a future date you'd prefer, keep checking this link for new listings.
No classes until further notice
How many JUNIORS will be taking the Indoor 1: First-time Class?
Juniors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will be responsible for signing waivers on their behalf. The parent/guardian can shoot with the junior in the Indoor 1 Class, if desired. Parents of 8-year-olds must register for a class with them.
Please list the FIRST and LAST name of each JUNIOR archer and their AGE.
Separate each name with a comma. Make sure to add your child´s age, and note that parents must take the class with 8-year-olds. Example: John Smith 8, Steven Smith 10. You can see if you're registered by clicking the date and time on the website's calendar a few hours later.
How many ADULTS (parents/guardians) will be taking the Indoor 1: First-time class?
Parents of 8-year-olds are required to take the class with their child(ren). Parents of children older than 8 years old are not required to take the class with their child(ren). You have a lot more fun when you take it together! If the parent wants to shoot later in the regular classes, he/she will need to take Indoor 1: First-time Class before joining the regular classes.
Please list the FIRST and LAST name of each ADULT (parent/guardian) who will be taking the class.
Separate each name with a comma: Sally Smith, James Smith.
