Regional Parent Ambassadors serve as links between each club and the department of New Student & Family Programs by assisting with programs and events. Ambassadors also serve as contacts and resources for parents and family members in each club area.
Advice and Counsel - Ambassadors are often asked and encouraged to provide feedback and opinions on parent related programming and events, as well as University of Arkansas programs, initiatives and services. Feedback may be requested at bi-annual Council meetings or online through e-mails or surveys.
Program Attendance and Support - Ambassadors are asked to assist in planning, attending, and supporting sponsored events and programs throughout the year, such as Family Weekend, Spring Family Reunion, topic based webinars, Regional Parents Club events and Send-Offs.
Attend Ambassador Meetings – Regional Parent Ambassador are asked to attend meetings throughout the year via teleconference, video conference, or in-person. An orientation meeting will be held each year during Family Weekend. Attendance is highly encouraged.
Requirements for Eligibility:
- Have a full-time University of Arkansas undergraduate student
- Willingness to meet the responsibilities outlined above
- Maintain Cardinal Membership in the Parent Partnership Association
- Complete at least a one year term of service (August – August). Terms are renewable.
