JCUA Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights Pledge
Did you know that Illinois now has a Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights? This new law gives nannies, housecleaners, and home care workers the same employment protections that workers in all other industries have! By amending four state laws, domestic workers are now guaranteed the state minimum wage, protection against sexual harassment, as well as a day of rest for workers employed by one employer for at least 20 hours a week.

As a Jewish people, we have a long-standing history on working on labor issues, and our tradition is full of texts calling for the fair treatment of workers by their employees. We now have an opportunity to stand as allies with workers fighting for fair, equal, and safe treatment.

I Pledge to uphold the principles of the Domestic Workers' Bill of Rights, and protect and promote the rights of domestic workers in my home and community by taking the following actions:
