Are you a passionate podcaster or creative soul looking to connect with like-minded individuals, expand your skills, and immerse yourself in a vibrant cultural experience? If so, we have the ideal retreat tailored just for you!
You don't need to have a podcast to apply for this, in fact most applicants so far, do not have a podcast. This is for anyone with a creative endeavor or who is dreaming of starting one.
From the creators of Tamarindo and Ocu-Pasión, two leading empowerment podcasts celebrating culture, well-being, and stories that center Latine and BIPOC experiences, we present: Encuentro: A Retreat for Podcasters & Cultural Creators.
Join us in Puebla, Mexico for an unforgettable journey of empowerment, creativity, and cultural celebration. More than a retreat, this is an invitation to be part of a transformative experience intended to have a lasting impact on your life, work, and passions.
We are looking for 8-10 participants to join us. As space is extremely limited, we invite you to please complete this interest form to be the first to receive registration details. (A select few additional slots may be added depending on interest).
We’ve negotiated an excellent rate that still honors the time efforts of the planning team and local staff.
$1,600 good for folks the apply by 10/31
$1,800 for folks that apply after 10/31
$2,000 for folks that apply after 11/30

🏝️ Relax & Recharge: As creatives, we know that rest is critical. We’ve planned ample time for relaxation, exploration, and reflection. We are partnering with a wellness-centered boutique hotel nestled in the historic centro de Puebla. Enjoy the pool, book a massage, or take in the spectacular views.
🌆 Cultural Immersion: Experience Puebla, Cholula, and Tepoztlan, three magical destinations in the heart of Mexico. Puebla was founded in 1531 in an area called Cuetlaxcoapan, which means "where serpents change their skin", between two of the main indigenous settlements at the time, Tlaxcala and Cholula. This is a fitting description of the intention behind this retreat that aims to have attendees emerge with new ideas, connections, and inspirations.

Recommended Airport: Mexico City International Airport; officially Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez
What's Included in the Retreat:
Lodging: Comfortable and culturally immersive accommodations at Cartesiano Boutique Hotel in the city center of Puebla for four nights.
Meals: Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. Dietary preferences will be taken into consideration.
Daily Cultural Activities and Trips: Engage in enriching cultural experiences, guided tours of Puebla's iconic landmarks, and opportunities to explore the city's vibrant streetscapes.
Transportation within Puebla: All group transportation for scheduled activities within Puebla is provided.
Workshops: Participate in inspiring, informative, and relevant workshops.
Group Sessions: Engage in group discussions and sharing sessions, fostering collaboration and community building among participants.
Wellness Activities: Enjoy rejuvenating wellness activities, including yoga sessions, guided meditation, and other wellness practices to nurture your physical and mental well-being.
What's Not Included in the Retreat:
Airfare: Participants are responsible for arranging their own airfare to and from Puebla. We recommend flying into Mexico City. We will provide detailed instructions on arriving to Puebla from the airport using Estrella Roja, efficient and safe transportation directly from Mexico City’s airport to Puebla, no need to leave the airport. Direct flights from Tijuana to Puebla's airport as also economical if you're coming from Southern California.
Transportation from Airport to Hotel: Participants are responsible for their transportation from airport to the retreat venue (approximately $30 to $60). However, transportation within Puebla during the retreat will be provided.
Traveler's Insurance: Travelers insurance is required. We will provide resources where to obtain.
Souvenirs: Personal purchases of souvenirs and mementos to remember your time in Puebla.
Snacks: Individual snacks and refreshments outside of the provided meals.
Alcohol: Personal expenses for alcoholic beverages during the retreat
