From the Middle of Somewhere: Rural Youth Stories of What Comes Next

The Center for Rural Education is hosting a Rural Education Summit centered on the theme Postsecondary Pathways. As part of Rural Fest on March 24, 2026, this interactive story-sharing session will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in Newman Library, Torgersen 3310 Classroom. We invite participants to share what postsecondary opportunity looks like for rural and small-town youth in your country or community. Your story may reflect your lived experience or how pathways typically unfold where you are. You are also welcome to attend simply to listen, reflect, and join the discussion as we surface barriers, highlight breakthroughs, and imagine new possibilities together.
