Join us for a Drag Queen Story Hour and special Shabbat celebration, hosted by Congregation Hakafa.
Saturday, October 16
1801 Sunset Rd, Highland Park, IL
We will be meeting at Sunset Woods in Highland Park, at the the Camp Picnic Shelter. The shelter is located at the northwest corner of the park. If you follow the path that leads from the north end of the parking lot, it will take you directly to our picnic shelter. It will take a couple of minutes to get from the parking lot to the shelter.
This program will occur rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, we will email you with updates.
This program is aimed at children ages 0-8 and their caregivers, but families of all ages are welcome. Everyone is welcome!
COVID Safety: Masks are required for all attendees age 2 and over, regardless of vaccination status. Social distancing is expected.
HAKAFA means "encirclement." We are a congregation of people who choose to have no building, no board of directors, and no fund-raising. Our CIRCLE has been growing for nearly 40 years. But as we grow, our intimate, caring, and welcoming atmosphere remains.
If you have any questions, please contact Hakafa member, Rae Goodman-Lucker (
