CCFC is looking for community members in the Denver Metro Area to provide one time workshops for our youth in our Kalpulli mentoring program for middle and high school youth, Hueliti advanced leadership for young women program ages 14-21 yrs old, and our new program Little Warrior Ways for ages 8 to 12 yr old.
We are looking for folks to come in and provide workshops that will develop skills and knowledge, support social and emotional wellbeing, cultivate transformational culturally rooted healing, keep youth connected to positive peers and adults, and encourage a connection to cultural traditions and their Indigenous roots.
Examples can be visual art, beading, sewing, story telling, mural painting, sculpture, boxing, mask making etc. We are open to creative ideas based on the facilitators skillset and we encourage out of the box ideas that cultivate a strong sense of self among the youth and engage them in a fun way.
CCFC Youth programs meet Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's from 5-8pm in West Denver, we can also travel to your location but keep in mind travel time cuts into workshop time. Workshops can be between 1-3 hrs. in some circumstances we can extend the time over two class periods to allow more time for bigger projects.
All workshop facilitators will have to pass a background check free of any infractions towards children. CCFC will pay facilitators as contractors at $75 per hour for your facilitation. All materials for the youth will be purchased by CCFC.
