Rooster Walk Volunteer Application
Thanks for your interest in joining the Volunteer Family here at Rooster Walk! This application is meant to gather information to help us find the perfect home for you on our volunteer staff!
There are FOUR types of volunteers for this show:
These volunteers commit to THREE Pre-fest work days. These days are typically eight hours long and ALWAYS INVOLVE HARD WORK. There is no clerical work or art projects-- this is heavy lifting, yard work and sweat. If selected for this position, you will be sent a follow up registration where you can choose the DATES you'd like to participate. Your compensation for this work includes Full Festival Admission for One, as well as tent only camping on the main site-- it does not include any onsite parking.
These volunteers commit to a total of 15 hours work, most often broken up in Three 5-hour shifts.
Your compensation for this work includes an official Volunteer t-shirt, Full Festival Admission for One, as well as tent only camping on the main site-- it does not include any onsite parking. Volunteer meals are provided to volunteers on shift during meal times. Once selected for this position, you will be sent a registration form to choose your departments and a few other details!
These volunteers commit to up to 32 hours of work at the festival, or one shift each day of the fest, for up to eight hours. Your compensation for this work includes a Full Staff Package: Staff Tshirt, Steel Pint, Staff Laminate (meals!), as well as ONSITE camping and parking.
Post Show Volunteers:
These volunteers commit to THREE Post-fest work days (Monday- Wednesday). These days usually run 8 hours long. A FULL DEPOSIT is required for this position, and will be refunded to you upon completion of your final shift. Your compensation for this work includes Full Festival Admission for One, as well as tent only camping on the main site-- it does not include any onsite parking.
Notes on the Application Process:
There are a few steps involved with becoming a full-fledged volunteer! Here is what you can expect to happen:
1. Application: your application will be reviewed by our team and you will be sent an official offer to join the family. These offers are sent ON WEDNESDAY each week!
2. Registration: based on your application, you will be assigned a volunteer type and department and sent a registration form to provide further info. You MUST complete this step- it is where your contract is signed!
3. Deposits: First year volunteers or those with less-than-stellar ranking will need to submit a fully refundable $50 deposit. This will be refunded to you upon completion of your final shift. (You will be emailed the link and code to purchase your deposit ticket!)
4. Scheduling: NEW in 2020: CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE!!! All selected applicants who complete their registration BEFORE MAY 1 will have the opportunity to select their schedule, within a few parameters. Schedule links will be sent WEEKLY beginning on March 1. Those who apply AFTER May 1 will still get to choose their shifts, but will be assigned to a "floater" schedule and can expect their department assignment to change daily.
