All Saints' Parish Retreat

Camp McDowell

The Parish Retreat is a time for our faith community to go on retreat together, to relax, rejuvenate, and renew! This is a weekend of fellowship, food, and fun in "God's Backyard"! Enjoy favorite camp-style activities such as canoes, swimming, hiking, and singing. Renew friendships and make new ones! Relax in a rocking chair and visit with friends, then cheer on your fellow parishioners during the Talent Show. Childcare will be offered (for walking-5yr) during designated times. It's quality time with quality people! Please come!

New to Camp McDowell? CAMP McDOWELL is the camp and conference center for the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. In operation since 1948, Camp McDowell is located 60 miles north of Birmingham, near Jasper, and is adjacent to the Bankhead National Forest. THIS IS YOUR CAMP! It offers many secular and nonsecular programs on the naturally beautiful campus, including Environmental & Farm Education for school groups and educators, Camps & Retreats for all ages, The Alabama Folk School, and facilities for all types of events - like the All Saints' Parish Retreat!

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

- Registration and payment for the retreat may be made ON-LINE or BY MAIL

- To mail your registration & payment: Pick up a paper registration form from All Saints. Complete and mail with payment:

- All registration and payments are due by 5pm on Friday, August 10

- Cancellation policy: No refunds after August 15

- A packing list will emailed to you a few days prior to the retreat

ACCOMODATIONS

Lodging is in Bethany Village at Camp McDowell. Each lodge has 11 rooms and a spacious living room with a full kitchen. Comfortable rooms are hotel-style with 2 queen beds and a private bathroom. All linens are provided.

MEALS

Our kick-off meal Friday night will be a Parish Pot Luck! All other meals will be served in the Doug Carpenter dining hall prepared under the direction of Camp McDowell's Executive Chef, Jeremy Peltz. Fresh vegetables and eggs from Mark's Farm will be included in the menu, as well as vegetarian options at every meal. Camp McDowell is pleased to accommodate special dietary needs such as gluten free options. Our closing meal is lunch on Sunday.

SNACKS & HOSPITALITY

Children and adults will enjoy snacks and drinks at the hospitality tables Friday and Saturday evening. Adults ARE allowed to bring alcohol to Camp, to be enjoyed responsibly in an opaque container (such as solo cup). Ice will be available for coolers.

PACKAGES:
1 person/1 night package: $142 total (1 night single occupancy/4 meals/snacks)
1 person/ weekend package: $260 total (2 nights single occupancy/5 meals/snacks)

2 people/1 night package: $184 total (1 night double occupancy/8 meals/snacks)
2 people/weekend package: $320 total (2 nights double occupancy/10 meals/snacks)

3 people/1 night package: $227 total (1 night triple occupancy/12 meals/snacks)
3 people/weekend package: $382 total (2 nights triple occupancy/15 meals/snacks)

4 people/1 night package: $270 total (1 night quadruple occupancy/16 meals/snacks)
4 people/weekend package: $444 total (2 nights, quadruple occupancy/20 meals/snacks)

ADD ONs:
Add 1 person/1 night (5th person +): $43 total (1 night in room with 4 or more/4 meals/snacks)
Add 1 person/weekend (5th person +): $62 total (2 nights in room with 4 or more/5 meals/snacks)
Add 1 childcare reservation: $25 per family (WALKING -5K)

NOTES:
-Children 5 and under (on August 24) are FREE! Do not count children 5 or younger in your selected package.
-There is a $25 childcare fee per family (paid separately). Childcare is available for children who are WALKING-5K.
-There is a small program fee per person for the weekend: $3/child, $5/adult
-All payments are made to "All Saints Parish Retreat"

CHILDCARE

Childcare (for walking - 5yr) will be provided at designated times during the retreat. The cost of childcare is $25 per family for the weekend. Reservations are required (so we know how to coordinate the childcare staff). The childcare fee is NOT included in the registration amount; it is an "add on" charge. Please plan to submit your childcare fee on-line or by check by 5pm on Friday, August 10.
