Crew leadership isn't for everyone. It is a considerable time commitment. If you cannot commit to a minimum of 4 sessions a week, ALL of load in and ALL of strike, then maybe this isn't for you.

Please consider these additional expectations:

Mentorship and Training: Crew leaders should actively mentor and train new crew members, providing guidance and support in learning various tools, skills and safety protocols.

Communication: Crew leaders should be punctual, reliable, and lead by example in terms of productivity and dedication. They should effectively communicate their availability with other crew members, production staff, and directors to ensure each session can be as effective as possible.

Safety and Maintenance: Crew leaders should prioritize safety in all crew activities, ensuring that crew members adhere to safety guidelines and procedures. They should also oversee the upkeep of equipment, tools, the shop, and storage spaces.

Problem Solving: Crew leaders should be proactive in identifying and addressing technical challenges or issues that arise during build, Tech & Dress rehearsals, or performances. They should demonstrate problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in finding solutions.

Collaboration: Crew leaders should foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging teamwork and cooperation among crew members. They should promote a positive and supportive atmosphere that values everyone's contributions.

Professionalism and Leadership: Crew leaders should exhibit professionalism in their behavior and work ethic. They should serve as role models for other crew members, displaying leadership qualities such as responsibility, integrity, and accountability.

Collaboration with Other Departments: Crew leaders should collaborate and communicate effectively with other production departments, such as lighting, sound, and scenic, to ensure a cohesive and successful production.

Flexibility and Adaptability: Crew leaders should be flexible and adaptable in handling unexpected changes or challenges during productions. They should be able to adjust plans and work effectively under pressure. :)
