Gender Equity in Astronomy

Dear colleagues,

This questionnaire aims to gather comprehensive information about the current efforts and initiatives related to gender equity within the field of astronomy. Your participation is crucial in helping us understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in promoting a more inclusive and equitable environment for all members of the astronomical community. We are particularly interested in learning about institutional efforts, representation, awareness activities, and the impact of gender equity plans.

This is a brief survey, taking less than 10 minutes, conducted by the IAU WiA Working Group to study the impact of the above factors on the career prospects, productivity and overall well being of Astronomers. The participants (Female and Male) have the option to join the survey with their contact details or anonymously. The results of this survey will be used by the IAU WiA WG to create awareness and inform the community about the advantages and hurdles faced by Astronomers worldwide. We will publish the results of this survey, for the benefit of the community so that the institutions and organizations get aware of the information collected and help identify areas for improvement, develop strategies and implement policies to promote gender equity in astronomy.
