About Blue Aster

Blue Aster is a micro-bakery based out of Kingston, NY. We primarily use ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley, so when you enjoy a Blue Aster baked good, you're tasting the region’s grains, dairy, fruit, vegetables, and other amazing locally grown and produced foods. You can find Blue Aster at several farmers' markets around the Hudson Valley.

Sablé Flavors

All sablés feature Ronnybrook butter from Ghent, NY and flour from Milestone Mill in Kingston, NY.

Signature Flavors:

Classic Butter Sablés - The original sablé - rich, buttery, decadence with just a hint of sweetness and salt. Freckled with vanilla bean. Most similar to traditional shortbread, but nothing boring about it!
Maple Sugar Chocolate Rye Sablés - Chocolate chip cookie meets shortbread. Made with 68% dark chocolate from Fruition Chocolate Works in Shokan, NY. Rye flour imparts a nuttiness and slight bitterness, balancing the sweetness of the maple. Featuring local maple syrup and maple sugar.
Sesame Seed Cheddar Sablés - For the savory, cheese-loving person. Toasted sesame seeds with cheddar makes a uniquely delicious flavor pairing. Add in a hint of aleppo pepper and it's a party!
