Liaison Interpreter Program of Somerville Application
The Liaison Interpreter Program of Somerville (LIPS) trains highly motivated bilingual high school students in the skills of interpretation - the art of communicating spoken words from one language into another.  It is a paid training program taught by professional interpreters and can open up opportunities to work as a professional interpreter once you develop these skills. Participants are also expected to practice interpretation at local community events during the year. You must be bilingual in English and either Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole to participate.
