A Collaboration of BAGLY & Boston Pride

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2018 Massachusetts Youth Pride and/or the BAGLY Prom on Saturday, May 19th! We're recruiting volunteers (ages 25+) to lend a hand with setting up, registration, acting as parade marshals, monitoring the plaza, chaperoning the Prom, and breaking down/cleaning up. DATE/TIME:
Saturday, May 19, 2017
Festival: 11am-4pm
Parade: Starts at 12 noon
Prom: 4-7pm (just like last year -- Prom will be held immediately after Youth Pride under a tent on City Hall Plaza!)

LOCATION:
City Hall Plaza in Boston (outside Government Center T Station; visit http://www.cityofboston.gov/contact/home.asp for directions)

•Weapons
•Drugs
•Violence
•Pressure/Harassment
We are strongly committed to upholding these rules. Anyone violating any of the above will be asked to leave.

MOST IMPORTANTLY:
Youth Pride and the BAGLY Prom are exciting and meaningful events for the youth attendees, community organizations, and adult volunteers. We want everyone, volunteers included, to have fun and feel safe.

Task Preference *

Please check all that apply. Times are approximate and scheduling can be flexible. Although it cannot be guaranteed, we will do our best to assign tasks according to your preference(s).

Festival set up (8:00-11:00am): Tasks may including moving/setting up tables and chairs, working registration/activity table

Parade support (11:00am-1:00pm): Tasks may include setting up parade route, walking parade with young people, crowd control

General support (1:00-4:00pm): Tasks may include monitoring plaza/stage show, crowd control

Festival clean up (4:00pm-6:00pm): Tasks may include breaking down tables/chairs, boxing materials, light trash removal

BAGLY Prom chaperone (3:00-5:00pm): Tasks may include chaperoning and setting up for the Prom

BAGLY Prom chaperone (5:00-7:00pm): Tasks may include chaperoning and breaking down the Prom

Available all day -- fill me in wherever is the most helpful!
