General Information
What is it?
This summer our church is offering a series of exciting summer day trips for the elementary aged children in our community. These trips will be an opportunity for attendees to interact with scriptures in a unique and immersive way under the supervision of experienced and caring adults. There will be songs, games, crafts and a whole lot of fun! Snacks and lunch will be provided for all participants.
When is it?
6/28, 7/12, 7/19 and 7/26 from 9 am - sometime in the afternoon.
We will be offering 4 unique biblical excursions on 4 different Saturdays. You can register for one or all of them. Our first excursion will be on 6/28 where we will travel to Cumberland Falls. The second excursion will be on 7/12 where we will travel to Cave Run Fish Hatchery. The third excursion will be on 7/19 where we will travel to Carter Caves and the fourth excursion will be on 7/26 where we will travel to the Louisville Zoo. Each trip will be paired with a meaningful Bible story and activities that relate to the location. We will leave in the morning from First Presbyterian Church at 9 am. We will travel by church bus to the day’s location and return to the church in the afternoon. Parents will be notified by text or phone call when we are 30 minutes away from being home. Parents, please be there promptly for pick up.
What is the Cost?
These trips are offered at no cost to the parents thanks to a generous gift from the Telford Fund, but space is limited and participation will be determined on a first come first served basis. So register soon and please honor your commitment to attend.
