Watchily API Signup Page

We are excited to announce that our API will be released soon!

We would love to get in touch with you, our developer community, in order to best structure the API and create the best possible product.

Free, open-source applications will have free access to the digestible XML for life. The file will be updated nightly, and can be used in whatever way you see fit. We will review every application, and reserve the right to revoke access if we do not feel it furthers the open nature of the database or if it breaks with the following restrictions.

Restrictions to the open database are (but not limited to)- 1) You must use our URLs in the XML file. We are preparing to deploy a system that will allow users and developers to report database errors to us. We anticipate all changes successfully pushing within 24 hours of submission. By using this system, we can collectively correct the database for optimal accuracy. 2) You must abide by all applicable copyright laws. We will shut down access to piracy tools. Further restrictions may apply.

Commercial applications will be given a complete RESTful API. Rates will be determined shortly, but we anticipate charging by the number of calls. Our unlimited plan is tentatively set at $800.

Currently, we have no plans to make a fully native Watchily mobile client. We do have partially native apps that leverage our mobile-responsive site, but they will only receive minor upkeep changes. Therefore, any mobile project that is clearly labelled as a Watchily client and extends the service of the website will receive free and unlimited access to the API, regardless of how much they may or may not charge for the app. Certain restrictions will apply.
