I hereby fully release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program, Nicholls State University and the administration, officers, members, partners, directors, agents, employees, students, staff, insurers, reinsurers and subcontractors, and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries from and against any and all suits, claims, causes of action, damages, consequential damages, penalties, liability, losses, costs, attorney’s fees, and expenses of any kind, whether known or unknown, in any way arising out of the September 20, 2025 International Coastal Cleanup event occurring on Elmer’s Island. I understand that I am being asked to waive and hereby waive any and all substantive rights that I may have as a result of personal injuries, property damage or death that may result from my participation on September 20, 2025 at Elmer’s Island. I, being of the full age of majority, have read this entire document and understand everything herein contained; and I am satisfied in every respect with full knowledge that I am giving up all of the rights and claims that I have or may have against all persons in consequence of said damage. I understand that I am engaging in this project at my own risk. I assume all risk and responsibility for any damage or injury to my property or any personal injury which I may sustain while involved in this project, and related material costs and expenses. In addition, I give permission to the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program and its project partners to use photographic images from the event.
