So, what is a C.S.A.?
Community Supported Agriculture, a social and economic alternative to "conventional" industrial food production. 'Shares' of the harvest are purchased at the beginning of the growing season from the farm which then provides a weekly distribution of produce grown on the farm to it's members throughout the season. The community gains a greater sense of responsibility and a closer connection to their food source, our members receive fresh organic produce every week during the growing season; while we, the farmers receive up-front financial support for the growing season ahead. Everybody's happy!
Here are the details:
CSA shares are picked up at our farmstand on Thursday of each week for 19 weeks!!
Our CSA program runs from June 22nd to October 26th and pickup is between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
This year we are extending our CSA from 16 to 19 weeks! Three more weeks=more food! Yum!
Each weekly share will include a variety of super-nutritious, certified organic seasonal produce and a bunch of fresh cut-flowers and/or herbs.
Here's some of what we'll be growing for you out in the field this season!
Greens for salads or cooking: arugula, broccoli rabe, kale, lettuce, mustard greens, pac choi, spinach, swiss chard, tatsoi and yukina savoy
Veggies: beans, beets, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, eggplant, peas, peppers, potatoes, sweet potatoes, summer squash, winter squash, tomatoes, and turnips.
Flavorings: garlic, leeks, onions, basil, dill, parsley, and rosemary.
**Also for sale at the farm stand we'll have fresh eggs from locally pasture raised chickens, cheeses, and many other specialty foods carefully selected by Joyce, John and the Good Earth staff.

Pricing
Share price- $575.00, plenty of vegetables for 1-2 people for 19 weeks. Payment is due by May 22nd.

CSA Work-share!
The Good Earth is offering 6 work-share memberships for the 2017 growing season.
This is a unique opportunity to get your hands dirty while learning about how to grow your own food!
Each week you will go home with a weekly share of delicious organic produce, that you helped grow and harvest!
Work-share members receive the same weekly share of the harvest as a paid share in exchange for work done on the farm.
Work-share details:
CSA shares are picked up weekly from June 22nd to October 26th for a total of 19 weeks.
Each CSA share includes a variety of seasonal produce and a beautiful herb/flower bunch.
Time commitment: Every Thursday for 6 hours, from June 22nd to October 26th.
We will absolutely depend on you to help us get the work done and will need your commitment to be here every week.
Work to be done: Harvesting and packing CSA shares and farm chores.
This will require physical labor and you will get dirty!
You will be lifting and carrying the harvest from the field, weeding, planting and other various tasks in all kinds of weather.
