Welcome to the ERIE21 Lock 1 School Year Program! We invite all interested students in grades 6-8 to apply to our program and become a part of the ERIE21 community.
Lock 1 students will learn to code, gain hands-on experience in engineering, experiment with robotics, Raspberry Pi's, animation as well as creativity & innovation! Ms. Pam Puri, founder and director of Tech4Kidz works with a team of tech instructors to delivery various programming & activities. Upon completion of the school year program, Lock 1 students will continue to work with the ERIE21 program in the summer during our annual QTV program.
Students who sign up to be a part of ERIE21 will participate in coding class once per week (if space is available), virtually, beginning in October through March and then will be in person at Le Moyne in April for a 2-4 week unit learning about and ensembling lego robotics. Twice a month on Saturdays, beginning October 7th, students may participate in our Tech Saturday event which involves 4 hours of technology programming, career/college exploration and more! Food will be provided during each event. There are also opportunities for students to go on college visits, field trips, participate in community service, and receive tutoring/homework help services Monday-Thursday, 4:00-8:00pm upon appointment.
The information requested below is required in order to be enrolled; therefore, only completed applications can be considered for the Lock 1 School Year Program. Please understand there are a limited number of available spaces, so it is very important that students submit completed applications as soon as possible.
