CRGC Trap Committee Duty Survey 2026
  • WE ARE RECRUITING NEW ROs again this year!
  • Volunteer your time for a few Saturdays or Sundays - get a trap key - gain access to the trap shed and house and shoot whenever you want (within the house rules, of course)!
  • Want to keep the trap key you already have?  😉  That's great, too!
  • Either way, please read on...
  • Provide your input here on your preferred Trap Committee duties and your known UNavailability.
  • Thank you!

Your full name *
Your mobile phone number (yes, it's probably in the club directory, but I want to be 100% sure I have all the right numbers - thanks!) *
I'm new to all this and willing to learn and help out - and am looking forward to getting a trap key. 😉 Please pair me up with an experienced RO. *
2026 TRAP SEASON TASKS - PLEASE READ!
Trap + 5-Stand season will start on the weekend after Easter and run through the weekend after Columbus Day (weather and staff permitting). That's 27 total weekends for the season - with one taken off for ARRL Field Day - and we need lots of capable ROs to make this happen. NEWCOMERS ARE WELCOME, and will be trained and paired with experienced ROs.
  • We each need to take on at least two or three Trap days (Sundays 1pm-3pm) - same as last year
  • We still need more people trained and willing to do 5-Stand days (Saturdays 9am-12pm) - last year was pretty good, and this year can be even better!
Don't know how to run the 5-Stand gear yet? No problem! You will be paired with someone who does, and you will learn quickly. It's not all that difficult, and it's actually a lot of fun.

Still don't want to run the 5-Stand gear? No problem! There's lots of other work to do, such as...
  • Coordinating a work party in the Spring, Summer, or Fall (we could use about three in total)
  • Whatever else we can think of, like cleaning and stocking the water fridge, cleaning and organizing the trap shed, volunteering for an occasional cookout (breakfast or lunch) at the trap field, running some fun competitions, conducting trap "info sessions" for new shooters, etc.
On to the questions...

Would you like to coordinate a work party? Please check all that may apply. I'm hoping we get at least three people willing to do this so we can spread the load. Check "Other" if you have additional thoughts on this. *

What other things can we be doing to have a great shotgunning season? This is only to collect ideas, not for volunteering yourself, but if you want to volunteer to do something new, please speak up here or in the next question. *
What other things might you volunteer to do for CRGC to have an awesome shotgunning season? This one is for volunteering yourself for something specific. *
