VOLUNTEER REQUESTS: It is the responsibility of EVERY swim team family to be an active participant in the swim team. Volunteer sign-ups will be sent out for specific activities, events, and swim meets once registration is complete. For description of each committee please refer to the listing below. Please contact Christina if you are interested in helping lead a particular committee.
PARENT MEETING: DATE TO BE DETERMINED - We are still coordinating schedules with the coaching staff to set this meeting date and time. Please plan on attending, even if you are a returning family. Each year there is new info that we need to share and we don't want anyone to miss out on it. If you have a question to be answered prior to the announcement of this meeting, please contact Christina.

SWIM TEAM VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
AWARDS: Orders & organizes swimmers awards for banquet.
BANQUET: Plans & prepares for the annual banquet held at GWC
CLERK OF COURSE: Lines up swimmers at meets.
DATA RECORDER: Records swimmers' times after meets & during Mini Championships.
DECK COORDINATOR: Responsible for checking-in timers and distributing watches & pinnies at meets. Also ensures deck area is properly set-up at home meets (assistance is received from guards).
RUNNERS: Collects timing sheets at meets for scorers table.
TIMERS: Times races at meets.
MEET OFFICIALS: Announcers, referees, starters, stroke & turn judges.
MEET PAPERWORK: Transfers swimmer line-ups to meet sheets day before or day of meet, and prepares paperwork for meet.
MINI-MEET COORDINATOR: Plans & organizes Mini Championships.
PARKING: Plans & implements parking procedures for home meets (directs traffic!)
PUBLICITY: Writes & submits news articles to local papers & displays on team board.
RECORD BOARD: Announces new records at meets, updates record board as needed.
RIBBONS: Places winning times on ribbons & distributes them to swimmers.
SCORERS: Scores home & away meets.
TEAM PHOTO: Arranges team photo & assists in swimmer line-up.
SPIRIT WEAR: Orders, sells and distributes team apparel.
50/50 SALES: Directs sales at all home meets.
SNACK BAR: Organizes & implements concession sales at all home meets.
COACHES GIFTS: Plans & prepares gifts for coaches for banquet.
END-OF-SEASON PARTY: Plans & prepares after championship pizza & pool party.
FAMILY-TO-FAMILY: Returning families who will be paired with a new family to help welcome them to the team and offer any help with questions they may have.
FRIDAY SNACKS: Schedules parents to bring after practice snacks on Fridays.
GATOR OF THE WEEK: Gives certificate, photo & treat to those selected to be "Gator of the Week" by the coaches for each practice group on Fridays.
SPIRIT: Organizes and oversees spirit activities before meets during practice times.
