Engineering for Montgomery County is scouting for MCPS students who take interest to the subject of STEM. If you are someone who places into that category, please fill out this form to join EMC.
Only students currently enrolled in high school can apply to be an executive member. Keep in mind that executive positions are a commitment that you are expected to hold yourself accountable for.
- General Members - Highly recommended to attend organizational meetings, and events. (Grades 6-12)
- Executive Members - Required to work on organizational assignments and attend EMC meetings/events. (Grades 9-12)
This application is ongoing throughout the entire year.
Positions:
General Members: General members will work on department-specific tasks, be able to participate in all of EMC opportunities/events, and spread the word about EMC-related activities.
Executive Members: Executive Members are to fulfill assignments tasked by Department Directors and help fulfill the department’s needs agenda.
Departments:
Public Relations: This department will account for all formal EMC communications with other organizations and companies.
Outreach: This department is responsible for recruiting members and increasing turnout through social media outreach and by hosting community events.
Project Management: This department will create/brainstorm project initiatives, and calculate the logistics in which we can achieve each project goal.
Finance: This department will draft the budget for EMC events that require financial service/accommodations.
