Thanks for your interest in joining Liberty Victoria's Rights Advocacy Project (RAP) program in 2018!

RAP offers early-career human rights advocates the opportunity to engage in systemic law reform and advocacy projects, supervised by experts in the field.

Since its launch in 2013, RAP volunteers have produced new and exciting projects to achieve social change. We’re excited for what the 2018 program will bring, and are keen to work with a new team of passionate volunteers.

We particularly encourage applications from members of the LGBTI+ community, persons with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

After reading the Information Pack available on the RAP website (http://libertyvic.rightsadvocacy.org.au/), please fill out this application form and email a copy of your CV by midnight on 9 February 2018 to rap@libertyvictoria.org.au.

We will be conducting 10 - 15 minute phone interviews with shortlisted candidates. These interviews will take place between 19 February and 2 March. If you’re shortlisted we will be in touch to arrange a time that suits you.

Successful applicants will be notified by email on 14 March 2018.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the above email address.

Which team are you interested in? *
RAP volunteers work in teams focusing on a particular human rights area: Criminal Justice; Refugee and Asylum Seekers; and Equality and Accountability. This year, we are also consulting with community groups to decide whether to add an Indigenous rights team. Please order 1-4 the team you would prefer to be in, noting that if you preference Indigenous rights and we don't end up adding that team, your application won't be negatively affected in any way.
