McGill's Food Security Summit 

Food Security Summit on March 15th from 10am-1:30pm!

Location: SSMU building, Room 202

Do you have concerns about the current food system at McGill? Are you interested in a visioning session with other students about creating a more sustainable, affordable, and socially conscious food system? Want to get more involved with food security awareness on campus? If so, then this summit is for you!

Inviting members of food, social justice, cultural, and sustainability related groups or any individuals interested in improving McGill’s larger food system to attend the summit!

If you have done research on McGill’s food system, have resources to offer or would like to contribute to the planning, reach out to Let’s Eat McGill to coordinate together.

Schedule for Summit:

10:00-10:30am: Opening presentation on research on McGill’s food system, updates from food groups, different types of models for a food coalition, food insecurity statistics.

10:30-12:00pm: Visioning exercises, and discussion prompts for each table about the larger food system. Rotation for group discussions every question (20 minutes per question).

12:00-1:30pm: Free lunch serving for attendees, catered by Parc Ex Curry Collective. Space for connecting with food, social justice, and environment groups on campus.
