2017 May Term Student Senate Senator Application

May Term Senators are responsible for attending approximately three (3) meetings during May Term to discuss Outfly, plan items for Senate in the 2017-2018 academic year, and discuss other issues of deliberation. Times for these meetings will be decided after the elections have been held. There are eight (8) seats available. This application is due at 8 PM on Tuesday, April 11th.

There will be a mandatory elections meeting at 9 PM on Tuesday, April 11th. This meeting will provide you with all of the information you will need during your campaign. Elections will take place on Monday, April 17th via email.

If you are elected to be a May Term Senator, you will not need to campaign to be a Senator for the 2017-2018 academic year. While it is not required that you serve as a Senator during the 2017-2018 year, most May term Senators take advantage of this option.

    An elections meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 11th at 9 PM in the Hub Conference Room. Attendance is required to verify the candidates running and to discuss election rules and procedures. If you cannot make it, please email senate@wartburg.edu so that we can give you any information that you missed. Campaigning may NOT begin until after the election meeting.
