Sign-up for People's Alliance Living Room Conversation about Race Equity in Durham
In July, the People's Alliance (PA) board wrote a letter with a call to action to our members and community to reflect on how we as individuals and through our community organizations will dismantle the system of white privilege, violence, and oppression against people of color in our community.
As a part of this work, PA is hosting a series of living room conversations on topics related to race equity in Durham. Over the past couple of months, a group of community members have worked together to develop these topics and prepare to facilitate living room conversations as an opportunity for participants to learn, reflect, analyze, build community, and take action toward creating a more just, equitable Durham where all people can live well.

. Once the sign-ups are completed and groups are set, you will receive an email from your group's facilitator with more details, including pre-readings to guide the discussion.
PLEASE NOTE: THE DATES LISTED INDICATE ALL OF THE MEETINGS FOR THAT GROUP (MANY GROUPS ARE MEETING OVER THE COURSE OF MULTIPLE SESSIONS). PARTICIPANTS OF A GROUP ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND EACH MEETING.

Race Equity and Economic Development (facilitated by Marie Funk & Kate Fulbright). DATES/TIME: Sept 25, Oct 23, Nov 13 from 2-4pm
Black Lives Matter Platform: Supporting A Vision for Black Lives (facilitated by Jeff King & Marcus Morrow). DATES/TIME: Sept. 18, Oct. 23, Nov. 6 from 3-5pm
