Application Form for Graduate Assistantships and Teaching Associates in Biology at California State University Northridge
A Teaching Associate (TA) is the instructor of writ for a lab, i.e., the person who is actually teaching the lab, posting the grades, etc.
A Graduate Assistant (GA) assists an instructor, e.g., helps set up and break down the lab, drives a van on a field trip, grades papers, and perhaps helps students when the instructor is also present. The hourly pay for GAs is about half of the hourly pay for TAs.

2. You must be enrolled in courses or in AR 601 Culminating Experience in the semester you wish to TA or GA
