The CoverContraceptiON Campaign team began as a group of Ob/Gyn residents and staff from University of Toronto and McMaster University. We have now expanded to a multidisciplinary team of over 40 volunteers from across Ontario with diverse lived experiences and areas of expertise. Together, we are lobbying the Ontario provincial government to implement no-cost contraception coverage for all.
We are looking to bring in additional volunteers who can provide our campaign with more varied expertise, including in any of the following areas:
- Research Lead - l
eading a team of volunteers and organizing regular meetings, identifying areas for research, conducting literature reviews and research projects, publishing on topics related to contraception access in Ontario and beyond- Advocacy Team Volunteer - engaging with City Officials and Members of Provincial Parliament, planning overall advocacy strategies, facilitating policy development, and pursuing political lobbying
- Research Team Volunteer - help identify areas for research, help fill literature gaps, and perform literature reviews
- Communications Team Volunteer - potential roles include social media account maintenance, infographics, overall design needs, liaising with media, writing press releases and op-eds, developing news article publications, and contacting media outlets & reporters to help gain coverage for the campaign
