Labor Summit 2023: The Future of Labor at Northeastern RSVP

Thank you so much for your interest in attending our first ever Northeastern Labor Summit on Saturday, April 1st at 6 PM EDT in 440 Egan and on Zoom at bit.ly/LABORSUMMIT2023 (case sensitive). This event will be hosted by Huskies Organizing With Labor (HOWL) in partnership with Northeastern workers.

We are so excited to provide an opportunity for Northeastern workers, students, and organizers to come together and connect over shared struggles and hopes for the future of labor justice at Northeastern. We have invited a panel of speakers from various worker groups on campus, including dining hall workers, graduate workers, and faculty, to share updates and strategies from their campaigns and contract fights. In addition, we’ll be hearing workers’ thoughts on panel topics including union busting tactics, pandemic impacts on labor, and organizing across multicultural groups and multiple campuses. As we wrap up, there will be dedicated time for discussion and forging connections among workers and between workers and students.

We will be implementing COVID precautions at this summit to keep our community of workers and students safe.

In-person attendees will be required to wear a KN95 or N95 mask (they will be provided), and those with access to COVID testing are asked to please test before the event. Please join us online rather than in-person if you have any symptoms of illness or have had contact with someone who is COVID positive in the week before the event.

Zoom access with online facilitators and interactive engagement with the room will be provided for those who prefer virtual access or cannot adhere to in-person precautions. *
