About FINNEGANS Brew Co. & FINNEGANS Community Fund

FINNEGANS - Here's to doing good. Founded in 2000 in Minneapolis, FINNEGANS is a craft brewer and self-sustaining social enterprise that believes in building strong communities by aspiring to alleviate hunger in every market where FINNEGANS is sold, including MN, WI, ND, SD and IA. Through the sale of its beer, FINNEGANS has created an innovative social business model that creates community wealth through the donation of all of it's profits back into the communities it serves with FINNEGANS SBC (Specific Benefit Corporation), supporting the FINNEGANS Community Fund (501c3). Over the years $1million in impact has been generated to support the community.

FINNEGANS Community Fund's (FCF) mission is to alleviate hunger through sustainable, scalable and innovative methods and partnerships and serve as a catalyst for social entrepreneurs in order to charitably advance social purpose. FCF has food bank partners in each state in order to fund local produce, for local food shelves in each territory the profits and funds are raised in. TeamFINNEGANS Volunteers engage in the community to fund raise for the FCF at beer festivals, monthly food packing events, and to bring the Reverse Food Truck (a food-drive in all sense of the word) to events around MN.

FINNEGANS' Next Chapter: FINNEGANS House
The first-ever brewery and taproom for FINNEGANS Brew Co. will open in the Elliot Park neighborhood of Minneapolis in March 2018 as part of a larger FINNEGANS House development. “With this new downtown brewery we can interact with our customers, sample experimental small-batches and personally share FINNEGANS’ mission of turning beer into food for the hungry in our community,” said Head Brewer Ryan Mihm.

“The taproom represents numerous, progressive changes for our brand—a new public space for our fans to gather, a new portfolio of beers to sample and a new opportunity to create positive impact in our community,” said Jacquie Berglund, FINNEGANS Founder and CEO. “Although FINNEGANS Brewery & Taproom is its own separate space, having it under the same roof as the other elements of FINNEGANS House allows us to give our customers a look behind the curtain and a chance to more directly engage with our mission of social change.”

The fourth floor of FINNEGANS House will feature the latest expansion of FINNEGANS’ social mission—the FINNovation Lab. In close partnership with Impact Hub MSP, the two organizations will turn the space into an incubator and accelerator for the entrepreneurs and staff of emerging brands that give back. A first-of-its-kind in the Twin Cities, the FINNovation Lab + Impact Hub MSP will not only offer a shared co-working space, but will help to foster and build social good brands by providing one-on-one mentorship, business workshops and resources, and more.
