Want to have some music accountabilityĀ in a easy going, fun & inviting atmosphere.Ā
Music from Classic Rock to Bluegrass and everything in between.
Each jam session will include:
Brief āinstructionā for your instrument, ie: new chords, tips and advice, all to help you take small but accumulative steps towards proficiency on your instrument.Ā Ā
Playing several songs, in different genres
Occasional guest instructors.
Jam songbook with new songs added each session (digital and print versions) chords and lyrics
Instruments: Guitar, Banjo, Bass, Keyboards , vocals , ukulele, mandolin
Instrument Note: For all instruments acoustic & electric welcome, electric will have volume restrictions.

About Pete - Pete has played music his entire life.Ā But, it wasn't until living in the Rocky Mountains that he discovered the joy and growth from jamming with others!Ā Pete and his wife, Anne, have recorded award winning albums, performed around the country and toured for over 15 years before landing in Monterey County.
"Jamming is hands down the most fun way to improve one's abilities.Ā And nothing is better than having a great group to make music with. Just like being a on a great sports team - it both supports and challenges us at the same time!"
Pete is a singing, multi-instrumentalist and has played or knows how to play: Guitar, Old-time Banjo, Piano, Mandolin, Violin, Bass, Dobro, Ukulele, (once upon a time - Saxophone) and more!

Q - What actually happens at each jam session?
A - There is some beginning warm ups and relevant instruction, ie:Ā How to read the chord changes, counting in a song, changing the key of the song, or specific questions on your instrument.Ā Ā Then we play songs using lyrics and chords provided by Pete.
Q - Can anyone join?
A - Essentially Yes.Ā Although this is a jam geared towards beginners and those who have never jammed before.Ā Space is limited so I can facilitate each player to enhance your specific growth!
Q - What kind of music are you playing?
A - Lots of folk, popular classic rock and familiar songs - think Bob Dylan, Beatles, with a sprinkle of classic 80's, 90's and well known modern singer songwriters.Ā Mainly acoustic, although quiet electric is welcome.
Q - Do I have to be a singer?
A - Not required, but you're welcome to try it out with the group!
Q - What's the schedule?
A - We will meet twice a month on Tuesday evenings . The dates will be posted the month prior and we will try to follow an every other week schedule.
Q - Do you take "drop ins"?
A - No.Ā This is a monthly commitment.Ā If there's space, you can join for the month and test it out!
Q - Do I have to practice?
A - No, unless you want to!Ā That's the beauty of jamming with others.Ā There's nothing like playing with others to become aware of your strengths and areas for improvement.Ā And it's a great way to get new ideas outside of playing by yourself or with YouTube.
Q - When are payments due?
A - Payment is due upon signing up and filling out this form.Ā Then payment for the next month will be dueĀ before the end of the month for the next upcoming month.Ā You will receive an email reminder the last week of the month.
