The Northwest Regional Invasive Species and Climate Change (NW RISCC) Network is a partnership of regional agencies and organizations dedicated to helping practitioners address the nexus of climate change and invasive species, including plants, animals, and pathogens.
Our objective is to help practitioners within federal, tribal, state/provincial, and local agencies and other organizations integrate climate change science and adaptation with invasive species prevention, early detection, control, monitoring, and research activities.
Advisory Team members serve as subject area experts and as representatives of their organizations. They are tasked with providing input to guide NW RISCC network goals and priorities. Specifically, Advisory Team members:
- participate in conference calls every other month to discuss network activities
- review and provide feedback on NW RISCC products (e.g., summaries, draft factsheets)
- attend events (e.g., webinars, symposia)
- contribute original content to NW RISCC products
- facilitate or moderate NW RISCC workshops or symposia
We want to make the most efficient use of your valuable time and anticipate that Advisory Team members will spend an average of 1-2 hours on NW RISCC network activities each month.
