Hunger Strike for #HALTsolitary
People who have been in solitary confinement and their loved ones and allies - in solidarity with people currently enduring this torture - are going on a hunger strike starting on Thursday, June 13 until the legislature passes HALT (or the legislative session ends). The core group of people will be on a liquid-only diet and will not be taking solid foods for the last seven days of the legislative session. But anyone can participate however works for them, including participating in the entire hunger strike, going on a hunger strike for 23-24 hours a day for one day in recognition of the 23-24 hours a day people spend in solitary, or spending one or more days on strike - whatever works for you. Please let us know if you plan to participate in the hunger strike, and for how many days.
