The Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy Foundation, Inc. (NSGPF) is a 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization that supports education, training, and research about group therapy and organizational leadership.  We believe that high-quality training in group dynamics, group development, and group process leads to more effective group leadership, clearer communication, and better outcomes for participants.  We provide scholarships to mental health and allied health providers for training to become more effective leaders in both therapy and organizational settings.  We also provide grants to clinics and educational and research programs focused on professionally led groups in a wide range of settings.

Effectiveness as a group therapist requires specialized training.  Groups require close attention to changing dynamics so that each participant can receive appropriate care.  NSGPF provides scholarships to support professionals in their desire to improve their group leadership skills.  We offer partial scholarships to qualified students and professionals to attend the nationally recognized Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy Training Program, the NSGP Annual Conference, and other group leadership training opportunities such as regional conferences and special events.  

Who Can Apply?  Mental health and allied health students and professionals including Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Counselors, Clergy, Addiction Specialists, and Trauma Specialists.
