By signing this form, you agree to comply with any and all rules, regulations, terms and conditions of the Generator, inc. (The “Generator”) including but not limited to the following: 

1. This is a Leave No Trace facility. This means that after you leave, there will not be anything to indicate you were here. That means: No garbage, no dirty dishes, no cigarette butts, no left over food, and no mess from your project. By signing, you commit yourself to leaving EVERY space better than you found it, especially our common spaces(Bathrooms, Lobby, Kitchen etc.).. 

2. The Generator is not held liable for the safety and condition of any items being stored on site. Staff reserve the right to remedy, in any way they see fit, anything stored in an improper or hazardous way. Unlabeled items left behind are considered abandoned property. 

3. No working while intoxicated, inebriated, sleep deprived or otherwise mind altered. No drinking allowed while working or in designated work areas. No illegal activities are allowed. Please don’t bring anything illegal into the building. If openly found with any illegal substances your access to the Generator may be terminated. 

4. Many of the tools here can hurt, maim or even kill you. Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment, such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, etc. is required while working. All members are required to complete our safety courses for each shop they will work in. If you don’t know how to use a tool safely, do NOT use it! We have many opportunities every month to learn proper and safe tool use. It is your responsibility to ensure you are properly trained before using equipment. DO NOT USE A TOOL THAT YOU HAVE NOT BEEN APPROVED TO USE. 

5. We expect all members to contribute to the safety of our facility by meeting and adhering to all safety requirements before using our shops/tools or operating in the space. This includes stopping and/or reporting all unsafe activity to staff immediately. Driving vehicles into, and around the space can be especially dangerous. Please stay aware of your surroundings and watch out for those around you. Be aware, you may be held liable for damaging any property in the space whether from negligence, recklessness or willful destruction. 

6. We expect all children in the facility to be supervised. Children are expected to observe the boundaries of both resident artist and project spaces. Children in workspaces must be actively monitored at all times. Unsupervised children pose a serious safety risk for themselves, other members and the organization as a whole. All members are encouraged to report unmonitored children in workspaces to staff immediately. 

7. The Generator has the right to exclude anyone from using its facilities, for any reason whatsoever. This applies with particular force if you fail to comply with the rules set forth herein. However, our right to refuse to allow you to use the Generator facility is not limited to instances in which you breach the rules set forth herein. If you persistently violate basic social norms and community behavioral standards, we have the right to exclude you. In other words, if you are disruptive in any way, we will ask you to leave. 

8. We expect all members to respect the posted hours of operation at our facility. Overnight stays are grounds to terminate your membership and access immediately. This includes the parking lot. 

9. The Generator's mission is to provide an open and accepting environment where all are welcome. We believe in a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where all employees and volunteers, whatever their gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, education or disability, feels valued and respected. 

10.By signing below, you certify that you are physically able to participate in any activity or performance you are engaged in on premises, and have not been advised otherwise by a medical professional. 

I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby waive, release, discharge, and agree not to sue the Generator, Inc., its officers, directors, members, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, contractors and subcontractors, and other participants, sponsors, affiliates, and if applicable, owners and lessors of equipment and premises used to conduct the activities at the Generator, or related activities (collectively the "Releasees"), from any and all claims for damages, injuries, losses, liabilities and expenses which I may have or which may subsequently accrue to me, relating to, resulting from or arising out of my use and/or participation at the Generator, including any programs, events or activities, and including any injury or damage to my person or property, or to that of any other person or property, even if such damage, injury, or loss results from the negligence of the Generator or anyone acting on its behalf.

I agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Releasees harmless from and against any and all claims by third parties for damages, injuries, losses, liabilities and expenses relating to, resulting from or arising out of my participation at the Generator, including in any program, event or activity. I acknowledge that certain tools used and certain activities engaged in at the Generator are inherently dangerous, and I assume the risk of engaging in such activities. I understand that not all tools and equipment in the Generator can be fully maintained, and agree to assume the risk inherent in using any and all tools at the Generator. I intend that the waiver and release of liability contained in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. 

I acknowledge by signing below that I have read and will comply with the rules set forth herein. I further acknowledge that I am giving up any right to sue the Generator, Inc., even for injuries or damage that may arise from the negligence of the Generator or anyone acting on its behalf. I acknowledge that my use of the Generator facility is entirely optional on my part and that I have had a full opportunity to consider the impact that signing this waiver has on my legal rights.
