Spencer Public Library Poetry Contest 2019
All ages are invited to send in poetry entries at any time between February 1st and March 31st.
Entry forms will be available at the front desk starting January 25th.

Winners and their families will be invited to our Poetry Award Ceremony in April. In addition, winners will receive a special prize and a copy of Iridescent Inkwells X, which will feature all winning poetry from this year’s Annual Poetry Contest.

Poetry Contest Rules
1. All ages may enter the poetry contest using this form. Contest is restricted to residents of Iowa only.
2. All poems must be original poetry written in either English or Spanish by the participant.  Plagiarized poems or songs will be disqualified.
3. Only one entry may be submitted by each participant. If more than one entry is received from a participant, all of the poems submitted by that participant will be disqualified.
4. Entries will become the property of the library and will not be returned.
5. The deadline for submitting poems is March 31st, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.  Poems may be submitted using this form, in person, mailed, or emailed to kanderson@spenceriowacity.com.
6. No late entries will be accepted.
7. By entering this contest, you are agreeing to allow us to reproduce your entry in both digital and print form.
