Meditation Group at the East Baltimore Campus
Are you interested in learning more about the practice of meditation, cultivating a meditative practice, or deepening your current meditative practice? I am a first year medical student interested in supporting a meditation group for all who are interested. We could have ~30 minute sessions weekly over the summer (starting in July) and beyond, consisting of: a ~5 minute introduction to a meditation technique from one of the Dharmic religious traditions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism), ~15-20 minutes of silent meditation, and a few minutes for discussion afterwards. This is just an initial idea of the structure/content of the sessions. Once a group has been formed, we can make adjustments in order to meet the interests of the group.
