We are very excited to offer a new set of after school opportunities to our students and families this year!  For the 2018-2019 school year, we have 5 new club offerings previewed below.  In addition, four of our new clubs have partnered with 4H to offer even greater opportunity for families and students to take their learning beyond the classroom via 4H projects and competitions!  If you are interested in having your student participate in one of our clubs for the 2018-2019 school year, please fill out the information below and choose the club(s) your child would like to join!

Horticulture Club (4H Sponsored)
Do you enjoy the out of doors?  The Horticulture Club will be a fun place to learn about our amazing outdoors while we enhance the beauty of our property.  Horticulture has many faces.  We will do some designing and landscaping, but it will be so much more.  We'll be reading and writing about out outdoors as well as doing some exciting artwork.  If any of this sounds fun to you, then the Horticulture is the place to be.

Current Events Club (4H Sponsored)
Do you want to know what's going on in the world?  Do you like to debate your opinions?  If you do, then current events club is for you.  Each week we will look at what is going on in the world and discuss it.  We will discuss what fake news is and how to have discussions about your opinions while being respectful to others.  If this sounds fun to you, then current events club is definitely for you!

Service Learning Club (4H Sponsored)
Are you wanting to make a difference in your community? Joining the Service-Learning Club will allow you to identify a problem, set goals, and work towards making a difference in your community. Be sure to bring your great ideas for how we can help Inman and Nixa together, having fun along the way!

Coding Club
"Would you like to know how to speak another language?  How about learning computerese?  No, that isn’t really a word, but that is exactly what you would be doing if you joined the coding club.  Through the coding club, we will learn how to “speak computer” with basic coding.   This club will be geared towards beginners, but all would be welcome to join.  We will be doing things like animating our name, creating a new Google logo, and animating stories.  If any of this sounds like a language you want to learn, then coding club is the place for you."

Chemistry in the Kitchen (4H Sponsored)
Join us at our table! Along with your fellow students, learn how to prepare a variety of simple dishes, use utensils and measurements, understand recipes and basic vocabulary, utilize safe cooking methods, and explore what foods/recipes promote healthy living.  This club is open to all students who are looking to gain some knowledge and skills on the general preparation of foods, and gain confidence in the kitchen!  Let’s learn the basics, build some skills, prepare some delicious culinary treats, and EAT!
