Be part of the 3rd edition of Breaking Walls Dance Films and submit your film now.
Breaking Walls Dance Films (BWDF) is the first Dance Film Festival in Egypt and the Region.

BWDF is an international event showcasing the best in dance film from around the world, which will take place in Cairo, in December 2023. We will host a special program of dance films alongside the festival's various programs of workshops and live performances. Knowing that the application will be no later than November 5, 2023.

🟣𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬:
- "Magda Saleh" Award for Best Film, chosen by the jury, in the amount of $1,000 presented by ÑUT Dance Company (NDC).
- Audience Choice Best Film Award.
- Best Choreography award, chosen by the jury.
- Best soundtrack award, chosen by the jury.
- Best Cinematography Award, chosen by the jury.
- Best Arab Film Award, chosen by the jury.


🟣𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬:
- All dance-based films of any style will be considered.
- The duration of the film should be between 5 to 40 minutes.
- All films submitted must have been produced in the last 3 years.
- Submissions are accepted before the deadline (5th of November 2023).

🟣𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥:
- We welcome documentaries and feature films to be shown on the sidelines of the festival, provided that these films are dance-related.
- If the film includes non-English narration, English subtitles are required. English scripts are required for all films.
- If you have a film that is not older than three years old and interested in being part of Breaking Walls Dance films, submit your film now.
- Any received applications after 17h00, November 5th, 2023 will not be considered.
- Your film should not be longer than 40min nor less than 5mins.  
- We welcome all dance-based films.
