Chv STEM - Registration 2026-2027
Welcome to the Cheverly STEM Education Center!

Now in our fourteenth year, we have put together another exciting line-up of classes - the perfect combo of core STEM favorites and cool new electives.  We are offering civil engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, and math, math and more math!   Our new electives include: Government, Health & Wellness, Anthropology, Filmmaking, Botany, Marine Biology, and more…   While our mornings are often packed with core math and science standards, our afternoons allow some fun with classes like art, fitness, chess, sign language and LEGO robotics.  Many of our core high school classes, (biology, chemistry, math), will meet two days/week, on both Tue and Thur.

As always, our mission is two-fold, (1) to provide courses not typically available to homeschoolers, and (2) support a unique and diverse community of learners.  Although we are not a school, classes at Cheverly STEM can support the homeschool journey.  Our classes are student-centered and project-based as well as academically rigorous and are taught by education specialists or professionals in their field.

Please note that Cheverly STEM is an inclusive environment and have amended our Code of Conduct  regarding the use of preferred personal pronouns.  Please be sure to review our code of conduct as part of the registration process.

Our class size is usually 12-15, some as small as 8 and some as large as 18, depending on the type of class. We will run a waitlist for any class that fills.

Our academic calendar runs September through May, divided into four 7-week quarters.  Our classes meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm with a full hour for lunch, noon-1:00.  Many of our classes are cumulative in nature making them difficult to join mid-year; it is best to consider taking it for the full-year.   Teacher bios and more detailed course descriptions are available on our newly updated (and still developing) website CheverlySTEM.com.
