Meet Your Neighbors Contest Entry
The Santa Monica community continues to stand out as a great place to work, live and raise children. Part of this strength comes from the many community events hosted by city and neighborhood associations. The Santa Monica Police Department would like to see this model duplicated at the grassroots level – your block! Do you know your neighbors?

Through our daily interactions with the public, SMPD has noticed that many residents do not know their neighbors. The more unified the community, the stronger it becomes. Chief Jacqueline A. Seabrooks would like to encourage residents to host a get-together on their block to simply get to know their neighbors better. These interactions are the building blocks for strong bonds that grow into lasting partnerships.
