EXTRA-LIVE PERFORMANCES
Extra-live performances invite audiences to respond to a show in whatever way feels natural; moving around, making noises and coming and going from the auditorium if needed. Latecomers are permitted.

Your performance will run in the usual way, but operate a relaxed entry, re-admittance and latecomers policy (for ticketed audience members). Audience members may make noise, get up and move around during the performance.

VAULT will provide the relevant signage to be placed on the door of your venue for the show, and our front of house team will manage admittance accordingly.

RELAXED PERFORMANCES
Relaxed performances are open to everyone, but the environment has been specifically adapted for audiences and individuals with sensory and communication disorders, those with learning disabilities and anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.

Your performance will be adapted to ensure a more relaxed environment for audience members. Practically this might involve a low-level of house lighting at all times during the performance and adaptation of sound effects to remove loud and sudden noises.

VAULT will provide the relevant signage to be placed on the door of your venue for the show, and our front of house team will manage admittance accordingly and assist audience members ahead of, during and after the show.

AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES
Audio Described performances offer blind and partially sighted people the best opportunities to enjoy theatre, through the live audio description of the visual action on-stage, as well as scene setting and intro notes before the show.

Your performance will run in the usual way, but involve live audio description of the visual action on-stage during the performance, plus brief scene setting and intro notes before the show, delivered by a trained VocalEyes (www.vocaleyes.co.uk) describer via headsets, to blind and partially sighted audience members.

Participating companies will also benefit from VocalEyes preparing and providing:
Text Access notes with online listing, and a tweet, offered across VocalEyes online channels
Word file with large print cast list to be emailed to audience members before the show
Full Audio Description equipment loan and set-up

Audio Described shows will take place on Thursday evenings during the Festival, on the basis of a minimum of 2 shows/companies selecting to include AD Performances within their run in the same week.

The cost to each company, after VAULT Festival subsidy, is £200+VAT per AD Performance, which will be offset from your Box Office at the conclusion of your show run.

Participating companies must supply the following ahead of their Audio Described performance:
Complete production recordings
Show script
Cast and creative team details
