Audio Described performances offer blind and partially sighted people the best opportunities to enjoy theatre, through the live audio description of the visual action on-stage, as well as scene setting and intro notes before the show.
Your performance will run in the usual way, but involve live audio description of the visual action on-stage during the performance, plus brief scene setting and intro notes before the show, delivered by a trained VocalEyes (
www.vocaleyes.co.uk) describer via headsets, to blind and partially sighted audience members.
Participating companies will also benefit from VocalEyes preparing and providing:
•
Text Access notes with online listing, and a tweet, offered across VocalEyes online channels
•
Word file with large print cast list to be emailed to audience members before the show
•
Full Audio Description equipment loan and set-up
