1. 1:1 Individual Mental Health Counseling

The Two Feathers counseling program offers short term counseling, crisis counseling, and long-term therapy to all Native American youth ages 10-24 in Humboldt County. Services are delivered in the school, home and community settings depending on youth and family preference.

2. Cultural Programming

ACORN aims to reconnect Native American youth to traditional cultural practices and provide mentorship to support the positive development of local Native youth. The program works towards increasing health and wellness through building friendships, strengthening intertribal connections and increasing cultural identity and efficacy. Registration opens up annually.

Two Feathers hosts cultural groups and activities with the population varying depending on the group. Groups are typically 8-10 weeks long and will be hosted in various locations throughout Humboldt County and within the schools Two Feathers serves. Groups include: weaving circles, motherhood and fatherhood is sacred, red road, language classes, talking circles, beading classes, playgroup, bear grass braiding, AND MORE!

3. Youth Employment Program

Two Feathers provides a youth employment program where high school aged youth participate in paid opportunities to learn work and leadership skills, build community, and gain cultural knowledge. Enrollment for the Youth Ambassador program happens in May/June where youth apply and then interview for a spot in the program. Enrollment is not guaranteed.
