Thank you for your interest in our 2017 Maker Saturday. This fun, free, all-ages event will be held on September 30, 2017 at the Howell Carnegie District Library, 314 W. Grand River Ave. Howell, MI 48843. The event runs 10 am-1 pm. Event set-up begins at 9 am and must be completed by 10 am. Weather permitting, we are hoping to hold the event both outdoors and indoors. We are expecting about 600 attendees though it's always hard to predict actual attendance.
We are all makers! Maker Saturday is an opportunity to celebrate the past, present, and future of makers. We are looking for community members and local organizations that are interested in sharing their passion for "making" with other community members.
Last year's Maker Saturday stations featured: a honey extraction demonstration, Dutch oven cooking, shibori scarf dyeing, canning & preserving foods, immersion & dispersion, kids arts, crafts & science activities, paper flower making, button making, 3-D printing, robotics, wood carving, spinning, knitting, etc.
Please submit your application by August 1, 2017. If you have questions, please contact Brandi Tambasco or Janice Heilman at
makersaturday@howelllibrary.org or 517-546-0720. Howell Library staff will review and contact applicants (of acceptance or not) by August 31, 2017.
While selling items is not permitted at this event, makers are encouraged to bring business cards & information.
