Now it's time for you to select the DDC'19 workshops you would like to attend.
There are limited spaces available for each workshop, therefore it is necessary that you register in advance. Registration for workshops is open until the 17th of May.
In total there will be 4 workshops, but please note that some workshops are coincident.
The workshops are subject to cancellation in case of insufficient registrations.

Workshop 1- Scripting, Descripting and Rescripting Designs, promoted by Craig Jeffcot. 22nd May, 9h30-11h00
Abstract:
Discover an exploratory design technique, based on Akridge and Latour's concept that all human and non-human objects are actors on a world stage, which have scripts that determine how they act in relation to each other. In this workshop, find out how to understand designed objects in terms of their scripts, and explore how transforming these scripts can open up new avenues for design.
Workshop 2 - Design - creativity and innovation Design, promoted by Luiza Selau. 22nd May, 9h30-11h00
Abstract:
Due to the importance in the use of methods in the development of projects in the area of design to dictate coherence and organization to the process and the constant search for innovation, the proposed project activity practice-oriented and seeks to show that within a process well organized a multidisciplinary team manages to get the results of the most diverse contexts of project.

Workshop 3 - Information Design and Journalism, by Milton Capelletti. 22nd May 11h30-13h00
Abstract:
Information Design is the discipline that studies how to plan and present specific information to a particular audience to meet specific objectives in specific situations in order to understand complex data. In this workshop, we will explore how to use Information Design tools and techniques to tell stories in Journalism with numerical data, spatial data and temporal data.
Workshop 4 - Saving the planet with Apps?, promoted by Lucinda Morrissey. 22nd May 11h30-13h00
Abstract:
We all agree on the need to save the planet, however our everyday actions are difficult to account for. The aim of this workshop is to design the App that will help transform our daily habits. Starting with a hypothetical brief from an authoritarian government to measure eco credit that will control our choices accordingly, concluding with more user friendly proposals with transformative power.
