To become a driving instructor, you must first obtain a license from TDLR. Follow the instructions below. When you obtain the license, come back to see us for employment.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR LICENSE

1. Apply for a driving instructor license through TDLR

*You will have to create an account to apply*

2. Pay the $50 application fee online.

Once you have applied, you will receive an email with instructions for fingerprinting. This may take up to 30 days to receive the email.

3. Make an appointment with Identogo to complete your fingerprinting after you receive the email instructions from TDLR.

4. Go to your TDLR account and upload your fingerprinting receipt.

5. Monitor your TDLR account to see if you have a valid license number.
