Rensselaer SoA Peer-Mentee Questionnaire
Welcome to the Rensselaer School of Architecture! We're all excited to meet you this fall, and (equally importantly) to help you settle in and figure out just what it is we do here. To aid in this, The National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) and student leadership has organized a mentorship program, in which you will be paired with an older architecture student (anywhere from second- through fifth-year), who will share knowledge and experiences with you through your first year in the School of Architecture. The program also facilitates bonds between class years, begins long-lasting friendships, and cultivates a culture of interdependence and connectivity that serves to make the school (and our collective experience of it) stronger.

To make the mentorship experience better for both parties, we're sending this survey a survey to Mentors and Mentees. Once you have filled out this survey, and we've received everyone's answers, you should receive your mentor's contact information.

WHAT IS MENTORING?
---
Mentoring is a power-free, two-way mutually beneficial learning situation in which the mentor provides advice, shares knowledge and experiences, and teaches using a low pressure, self-discovery approach. (Starcevich, Matt, 1999, “Coach, Mentor: Is There a Difference?” www.coachingandmentoring.com)
