Planting Stick Signup - Virtual Intertribal Food Summit
Traditional planting sticks are an excellent tool for planting seeds, transplanting plants, and many other tasks in the garden or field.  The small notch is for you foot, turning the planting stick into essential a small shovel.

The number of planting stick blanks is limited.  We will do our best to meet demand, but we cannot guarantee availability.  The material fee is $50 plus shipping for these hard maple or hickory blanks that are ready for you to finish to your own custom planting stick.  Payment will go directly to the woodworkers who created and will be shipping the blanks.

To be eligible to signup for this workshop, you must be 1) be registered for the Virtual Intertribal Food Summit (http://intertribalfoodsummit2020.eventbrite.com) on June 20th and 2) be a member of a Tribal community.  Priority will be given to those who have submitted an entry into the Grower Challenge.  Please see http://intertribalfoodsummit.com for more info on the challenges and overall event.

We will be posting a short workshop tutorial on recommendations for finishing your planting stick with basic tools available from your local hardware or farm supply store.  A couple other tool recommendations may be purchased from online woodworking stores.
