The Power of Song: Healing through the Arts


ICNYU is excited to announce our next Healing through the Arts program, Healing Songs in Beautiful Places with Drea d' Nur*. Music has been used as a tool for expression and healing throughout our history. Join us as we spend an evening exploring the power of song.

Artist Bio:
Drea d' Nur is a Muslim singer and songwriter whose work has reached national and international acclaim with localized work that highlights the rich history of Black music and art.

This 2017 Spark Awards Artist of the Year has performed overseas, released two independent music projects, produced two short films about Nina Simone, directed a music video, produced two stage productions, and has album credits on the new Gorillaz album, HUMANZ. D’Nur is currently touring the Spirit of Nina and preparing to launch an exciting new creative community arts initiative all while raising five gifted children. Drea's new movement is entitled, 'Healing Songs In Beautiful Spaces', a sound movement workshop that explores the power of sound in intimate healing circles.
