Wildcat Art is an advanced practicum course and community program for graduates and undergraduates in the Department of Art & Visual Culture Education (AVCE) at the School of Art. Now in its 29th year, Wildcat Art is an opportunity for pre-service art educators to design and implement original visual art lesson plans appropriate to state and national teaching standards. Our curriculum will demonstrate art’s role as an important part of self-expression. Student educators are passionate about this subject and hope to inspire participating K-12 students to create art that is meaningful to them. The program’s activities seek to connect community members and UA students in the field of art education.
